‘Great Big Story’ App Review

I learn more than I scroll now.

The meeting occurred when I had come upon one of their videos on YouTube. And watching YouTube had become kinda boring quite lately with me just scrolling around to find something that is actually worth my time and thus end up not really seeing anything that satisfies me after the 5 or 6 mins anyway. Thus I downloaded this app just to give it a try and have never regretted it. Although the app is quite slow. The video doesn’t load as fast as YouTube (you need to wait for like a minute or 30 seconds to watch every video) and some videos show a error pop up. I’d still say it’s worth my time. Simply because even if the video is 2 or 5 mins, I really feel satisfied at the end of it. I gain something new from every video. Either the video teaches me a lesson or it pushes me to be curious about the topic. And thus if you ever see me contemplating, it’s probably not about my life. Even the other day, I had discovered a new Spanish band whose music I till groove too; a teen boy without a jaw (thus can’t talk) but still raps, a old man who has actually pursued every human being’s dream in today’s world- living in an island all by himself and I can keep going. Each person they document show us what a human is really capable of, each place they show is a treat to our eyes and atlast, each video (which is clearly made with a lot of passion) is a new lesson. But I was quite surprised that this app doesn’t have the recognition that it deserves. And thus I decided to give back the satisfaction I get from their videos by writing about it in my blog. Download the app, be patient and give it a try. One video of the Great Big Story = Ten videos of YouTube. Trust me, It will change you every day.

  1. Hey! I love what you write and it’s every single post of yours is a great read. I really need some advice on writing. Is there a way we can have a conversation about this?!
